The Challenge
One of our clients suffered a flood that submerged their hydro turbines and generators as well as most of their instrumentation, controls and cabling.
The Solution
ETS led the replacement of the electrical components, instrumentation, and controls in a two-year effort while coordinating with the mechanical repairs and the owner.
The Result
ETS led the commissioning of the repaired units including point-to-point checks of wiring, dry testing of components, and controls, and finally wet commissioning to bring both units back on-line safely.

The Challenge
A four-unit power generation facility had struggled for years to maintain proper power factor. ETS was called in after multiple other firms were unable to resolve the issue.

Our team performed an in-depth troubleshooting investigation to pinpoint the root cause. We identified an incorrect setting in the PID controller for the excitation system as the source of the problem.
The Result
